Dennis Sparta from Stuber lab will become an Assistant Professor at University of Maryland and will talk about a specific neural mechanism within the mPFC that operates during the formation and extinction of conditioned behaviors.
 
Vivian Gama from Deshmukh lab has recently received the Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00) from NIH/NCI and she will discuss her studies on the identification of PARC/Cul9 as an E3 ligase targeting the pro-apoptotic protein cytochrome cfor degradation in neurons and brain tumor cells to ensure their optimal long-term survival.
