Research

My research interest during graduate studies is research in neuropathic pain. This field excites me because it has the potential to affect the treatment and understanding of the pain suffered by millions of people on a daily basis. Some questions I am interested in are: how can chronic pain be best managed pharmacologically? How can the immune system be harnessed to decrease pain sensation and increase healing? Is there a ‘signature’ that delineates pain caused by disease versus acute injury?
