Alice Stamatakis

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010, receiving both my Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees.

My main research goal is to understand the functional and behavioral significance of neural circuits involved in motivated behaviors.  To accomplish this, I use a variety of techniques including optogenetics, viral tracing techniques, in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology, electrochemical techniques, and behavior.
