UNC Comprehensive Epilepsy Program provides the following services for the patients

  • Outpatient care at the UNC Neurology Clinic on the 1st floor of the UNC Neuroscience Hospital
  • Inpatient consultation
  • Epilepsy care for women of reproductive age and/or during pregnancy
  • Pediatric epilepsy care
  • Neuropsychological evaluation for epilepsy patients
  • Outpatient elective encephalogram (EEG)
  • Ambulatory elective EEG
  • Inpatient encephalogram (EEG) and continuous EEG monitoring
  • Electrocorticography
  • Brain Mapping
  • Epilepsy Monitoring Unit evaluation with continuous video-EEG monitoring
  • Presurgical Evaluations for medically refractory epilepsy
  • Epilepsy Surgery
  • Outreach services to teach the physicians in the community and the lay community about the latest epilepsy care
