Lewy Body Dementia

Lewy body dementia is a condition that closely resembles two other conditions, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Because of its similarity to these other more common diseases and unfamiliarity with the condition, Lewy body dementia oftentimes goes undiagnosed. Lewy body dementia is also difficult to diagnose because the symptoms present themselves differently in each person. In order to receive a clear diagnosis, individuals should be seen by medical professionals that specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of dementias.
