Neuropsychological Aspects of Movement Disorders and Deep Brain Stimulation

  • DURATION OF FELLOWSHIP: One year. A two year program is available with emphasis on advanced techniques and research applications
  • PREREQUISITE: Applicants must possess a PhD and internship in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited program (neuropsychology concentration preferred) and demonstrate strong potential to develop a successful independent research career and grant funding.
  • STARTING DATE: July 1 or September 1, 2005
  • SALARY LEVEL: Stipend and benefits are competitive

    This Fellowship affords excellent training in clinical diagnostic skills and also in research methodology. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of research studies in neuropsychological aspects of movement disorders and deep brain stimulation disease.

    The fellow will devote approximately 50% time to clinical activities and 50% to research and didactics.

    Mentorship in grant-writing will be available, as will opportunities to become involved in research projects relating to deep brain stimulation, fMRI, pharmacology and genetics in movement disorders. The department has a strong collaborative team of neuropsychologists and several movement disorders and behavioral neurology specialists.
