Child Neurology Residency Application Information

Untitled Document

Thank you for your interest in our Child Neurology training program. Our program uses the Child Neurology Matching program that is in transition from the San Francisco Match to the NRMP. The instructions regarding applications and the match procedures are attached below.

This year we are offering 1 Same Year (Reserved) position to start in our Child Neurology 3 year training program 2012 and 1 Categorical position to start pediatric training in 2012 and Child Neurology training in 2014. The Categorical application only requires you to complete one ERAS application and only one ranking list. See the attached information below for instructions.

Answers to frequently asked questions:

  1. Do I have to apply separately to Pediatrics and Neurology?
No, if you are interested in the Categorical Position, one application for the Categorical Child Neurology Residency Program automatically applies to both Pediatrics and Child Neurology.
  2. Do I have to match separately with pediatrics and Child Neurology for a combined spot?
No, we work with Pediatrics to set up a separate match list. If you apply to the Categorical Child Neurology Residency Program, then if you are matched, you are matched with both pediatrics and adult Neurology.
  3. Do you accept any foreign medical graduates or internal medical graduates?
    Yes.
  4. Are there any FMG's/IMG's (foreign/international medical graduates) currently in the program?
    Yes.
  5. Are there any specific USMLE score cut-offs/requirements?
    No
