After receiving a BS in psychology in 2012 I came to UNC and joined the Neurobiology Curriculum in 2013.

I am a member of Dr. Serena Dudek's lab, which is housed at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in RTP.  My research focuses on elucidating network population dynamics of functional circuits within the hippocampal system.  The hippocampus plays an important role in the encoding and retrieval of long term episodic information, as well as in processing spatial information.  In the Dudek lab I am using in vivo electrophysiological approaches in awake, behaving mice combined with DREADD technology to characterize how synchronized neuronal activity in CA2 may selectively enhance the processing of spatial information.
