Dr. Stryker is a W.F. Ganong Professor of Physiology at the University of California- San Francisco. His laboratory's major interest is the in the mechanisms responsible for the development and plasticity of precise connections within the central nervous system, and particularly in the role of neural activity in this process. Most of the work of the laboratory is on the visual cortex of the mouse. Dr. Stryker's host is Dr. Spencer Smith.
The title of his seminar will be:
"Mechanisms of Competition in the Visual Cortex and the Role of Active Vision"
