Conway Presented Nursing Recognition Award

April 14, 2010 – UNC Healthcare Ambulatory Care annually presents two nursing awards. The recipients not only excel in nursing practice, but also demonstrate special qualities of caring and compassion. The Award, which includes an educational stipend, may be used by the nurses over a three-year period to further enhance their knowledge and abilities in the health care setting.

Cynthia Conway was recognized as one of the 2010 award winners. Tom Hartley, Director of Ambulatory Care for UNC Healthcare, and Mary Lee Baker, Associate Director of Ambulatory Care for the Department of Surgery, presented Conway with the award at the Neurosurgery Grand Rounds on April 14th. Conway has been working with the Department of Surgery since 1999, and is currently a Nursing Assistant in the Neurosurgery clinic.
