Brain Surgery Patient is Big Hit at UNC-W

October 7, 2011 -- Eleven-year-old Zion Kinlaw celebrated the first anniversary of his brain surgery with the UNC-Wilmington baseball team.

Last October, Zion was a patient at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he underwent a procedure to extract a non-malignant cyst.  He connected with the baseball team in Chapel Hill, and returned in March to present a check for $10,000 to UNC's Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery.
