Dr. Scott W. Elton Accepts Leadership of Pediatric Neurosurgery
September 7, 2012 -- Dr. Scott Elton will join the UNC Department of Neurosurgery on December 31, 2012 to Lead the Pediatric Practice.

Dr. Elton joins UNC from Banner Health/Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. He received his MD from the University of Pittsburgh, completed neurosurgery residency at Ohio State University Hospital, and then completed the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship in 2001. He then worked at the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, which is affiliated with Ohio State. In 2008, he left Ohio for Arizona. He is currently the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Banner Health/Cardon Children's Medical Center. The Department of Neurosurgery is pleased to welcome Dr. Elton to our Pediatric Practice.
