Orning Recognized with UNC Plus People Award

January 18, 2012 – Dr. Jennifer Orning, a neurosurgery resident, was awarded a Plus People Award for the Winter 2012 quarter. This honor is presented to UNC Health Care employees for their outstanding performance and service on the job.

Orning Recognized with UNC Plus People Award

The Plus People Awards were established to recognize people who consistently excel at their jobs and who demonstrate an enthusiasm and devotion to duty that inspires others. It is a tribute to the positive attitude, the high quality of work and the concern for all of the people served.

Her nomination lauded Dr. Orning for her exceptional patient-centered medical care, service to the people of UNC Hospitals and the local community, and participation in research focused on improving outcomes from subdural hematomas. She practices compassionate patient care, and is extremely responsive as a consulting physician.
