Dr. Pablo F. Recinos is a visiting neurosurgeon from the Cleveland Clinic who specializes in skull base surgery. He was recently appointed as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed a fellowship in skull base surgery at the Cleveland Clinic under the direction of Dr. Joung Lee. His academic interests include minimally invasive approaches to the cranial base, skull base anatomical research, and resident education in the surgical skills laboratory.
He completed his residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where he received extensive training in neuro-oncology and skull base surgery. This included partnering with the Otolaryngology Department for the treatment of anterior and lateral skull base tumors. He is trained in using the latest techniques in computer guided surgical navigation, intraoperative neuromonitoring, and minimally invasive and neuroendoscopic approaches to treat patients with benign and malignant brain tumors.
