Additional services performed by center
Services performed by center personnel in addition to routine duties. Services can be requested.
List of Current Services- Specialized diets
- Gavage feeding
- Rectal instillation of sterile bacterial lysates or heat killed bacteria
- IP injections (CD4+T or dendritic cells)
- Administration of therapeutic or disease-inducing agents
- Hematopoietic stem cell or bone marrow transplant
- Intestinal surgery assistance
- Sterile derivation of rodent strains via embryo transfer using custom surgical isolator system. Strains ordered from the MMRRC can be made gnotobiotic. Contact NGRRC UNC personnel for details. Strains made in the requesting investigator's lab may also be derived as gnotobiotic.
- In vitro fertilization (to provide embryos for transfer to gnotobiotic recipients)
- Tissue collection
- Shipment of animals in sterile transporters
