Outpatient Treatment Program
Carrboro Center Horizons will meet with each woman to see what level of treatment will work for her. Counselors will also meet with clients in their home or at other agencies. After admission, a client will receive case management, individual and/or group counseling. If a client needs a residential level of care, she will be referred to our residential programs or other similar residential programs in the State. Group Treatment at the Carrboro Center The SACOT (Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment) meets daily (Monday-Friday) from 9:00 AM -1:30 PM for a 4 month period. SACOT includes an individual therapy session, daily process group and educational groups. The educational groups focus on: Addiction Education/Relapse Prevention Managing Feelings and Stress
Relationship and Family Issues Learning Sober Leisure Activities Education on the Effects of Trauma Parenting Health Job Readiness and Budgeting
The Horizons STEPDOWN SACOT is for graduates of the 4 month SACOT program and also for women with at least 60 days sobriety. The program meets 3 days each week (M,W,F) from 9:00 AM-1:30 PM for 2 months. Women who complete this phase identify their own relapse warning sign pattern, develop and practice new recovery management tools, and continue discussion on parenting and relationships. Women in either SACOT program also receive Individual Counseling at least every other week. Other Outpatient Services at Carrboro include: Individual psychotherapy Family counseling Psychiatric evaluation on Mondays only Psychiatric medication management on Mondays only (includes suboxone/subutex) Case management |
