Services for the Children

The well being of the infants and children of participating mothers is a special focus for Horizons.

Services include:

On-site health monitoring and counseling to mothers and children at Sunrise residence by Horizons’ nurse.
A therapeutic, licensed 5 Star Child Care Center at our Carrboro site with early interventions based on individual treatment plans by teachers in the center.
Comprehensive evaluations (medical, speech and language, occupational, developmental, psychological) for all children at Sunrise and in the Child Care Center.
On-site speech and language or OT/PT services for children in the Child Care Center or the residence.
Residential children also receive individual and group counseling and after-school activities.
