ACOG president

Professor of obstetrics and gynecology Baylor College of Medicine and serves as the chief medical officer, women’s health, for the Texas Children’s Health Plan.

She has provided direct patient care in both private and public clinical settings and is the medical director of obstetrics and gynecology for the Centers for Children and Women. This innovative project creates integrated patient-centered medical homes in Houston for children and pregnant women covered by Medicaid. The pregnancy medical home is a demonstration project for Texas.

She is assistant secretary of ACOG and has served on many ACOG committees, presidential task forces, and workgroups. She chaired the Committee on Professional Liability, the Committee on Credentials, and the Work Group on Women’s Health Care Team Leadership.

From 2010-2013, Dr. Hollier chaired District XI. Earlier in her career, she was president of the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also served as ACOG’s representative to the Board of Directors for the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine for five years.

Dr. Hollier earned her medical degree and Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University after graduating from Pomona College. She did her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
