ACOG president to speak at August 1 OB-GYN Grand Rounds

Lisa M. Hollier, MD, MPH, FACOG is the 69th president of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Lisa M. Hollier will speak at UNC OB-GYN's Grand Rounds on August 1 at 4 p.m. in Macnider 321. Dr. Hollier is the newest president of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AGOG), the national professional organization for OB-GYNs.

Dr. Hollier is the President of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  She is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  She completed a residency in OB-GYN at Baylor University Medical Center and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UT Southwestern. Her strategic initiatives at ACOG focus on reducing preventable maternal mortality.  She is a national resource and leader on this subject which is one of the most serious health issues facing women across the globe. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to caring for the underserved and improving women’s health by advancing women’s health policy.

She will speak on "The Leadership Journey Across a Career in Medicine and Career Leadership with ACOG;  Moving Your Vision Forward." All are invited to attend.
