Dr. Lisa Rahangdale appointed to DHHS panel

Dr. Rahangdale will serve on the Panel on Treatment of HIV-Infected Pregnant Women and Prevention of Perinatal Transmission for three years.

The Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Treatment of HIV-Infected Pregnant Women and Prevention of Perinatal Transmission has appointed Dr. Lisa Rahangdale, associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology, to the panel as a clinical/scientific member.

The panel, a working group of the Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council, develops guidelines and recommendations to inform health care providers who treat HIV-infected pregnant women. Members of the panel serve three-year terms, with the possibility of membership renewal at the end of a term.
