Schneider named Director of Strategic Alignment for Women’s Services at UNC Hospitals

Schneider will continue to serve in her role as Vice Chair for Administration at UNC OB-GYN.

Kim Schneider, MPH, CMPE, Vice Chair for Administration for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, has been named Director of Strategic Alignment for Women's Services at UNC Hospitals, a formal coordination between the department and the hospital for the enhancement of Women's Services. The appointment was effective Jan. 1, 2017.

In this role, Schneider will work with Dr. Daniel Clarke-Pearson, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dr. Cathy Madigan, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer of UNC Hospitals, to coordinate a collaborative decision-making process and communicate a unified vision for Women' Services across the School of Medicine and UNC Hospitals.

Schneider will support the formation and execution of the strategic plan for Women's Services, monitoring and evaluating the progress of the plan, and building the strategic partnerships necessary to fulfill these goals and envision the future for Women's Services.

This appointment is a natural extension of Schneider's role in the OB-GYN department, where she has spent 18 years leading a team responsible for the accounting, finance, human resources, communications, operations and strategic planning of the department. Schneider will continue her service in that role for the department along with this new appointment.
