The Center for Women’s Health Research releases 2016 ‘report card’ on women’s health

The report demonstrates where we have made strides and where opportunities exist to improve women’s health and healthcare needs in North Carolina.

The Center for Women's Health Research (CWHR) released their ninth-edition of the North Carolina Women's Health Report Card, a progress report on the health and healthcare needs of North Carolina's 5+ million women, on May 9.

Current areas of research targeted by the CWHR include prevention, cancers affecting women, chronic disease (including cardiovascular health, diabetes and obesity), women's mental health, and substance abuse. It is the only health report of its kind in North Carolina.

Sheps Center for Health Services Research. The mission of the center is to improve women's health through research by focusing on diseases, disorders and conditions that affect women only, women predominately, and/or women differently than men.
