The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Center for Research in Medical Education Program (CRMEP) was established in 1995 to define, coordinate and address a research agenda reflecting the urgency and complexity of current issues in medical education. The Center, funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Bureau of Health Professions from 1994-1998, was a collaborative interdisciplinary effort involving faculty from the following disciplines within the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill community:

Six major research projects were launched in the initial year, one of which was conducted collaboratively with the University of Washington Center for Medical Education Research . Additional collaborative stidues were conducted in subsequent years. These and other Center projects are described in the final report. (Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or greater needed)
