| Research Summary: | Within my lab I continue to study the relationship between Cardiac Hypertrophy and how the heart utilizes energy, or cardiac metabolism. My research focuses on how our protein of interest, Muscle Ring Finger-1, interacts with nuclear transcription factors to regulate alterations in cardiac metabolism that occur during cardiac hypertrophy. I have identified these transcription factors and am in the process of further elucidating these relationships. |
