Dr. Landers (tux)


Dr. Maurice Landers is a UNC Professor of Ophthalmology and has been the OIG’s Faculty Advisor since its founding in 2002. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed his residency at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute.

In addition to being world-renowned in the field of vitreoretinal ophthalmology, Dr. Landers has served as Chief of Retina Service at the Duke University Eye Center and the University of California-Davis. He has also been named among the “Best Ophthalmologists in America.” As the OIG’s Faculty Advisor, Dr. Landers provides skilled and dedicated leadership to our organization, as well as outstanding mentorship to medical students interested in ophthalmology.
