Multimedia Development Lab

As part of our vision to create a learning environment incorporating educational multimedia into the medical school curriculum, OIS maintains the Multimedia Development Lab. The Lab, located in 67 MacNider, is a facility where medical school faculty and staff can come to create high quality multimedia projects. An OIS staff member is always on hand to give advice or design tips, instruction on the use of hardware and software, and to troubleshoot problems.  Click here for a list of available hardware and software.

Lab Offerings

• Full-Time Staffing

  An OIS staff member is always available to help you with your latest multimedia project.

• PC Workstations

  Including the latest multimedia software.

• Video Workstation

  The Lab has a dedicated Macintosh G5 workstation for all your digital media needs (video editing/capturing, podcasts, etc.). If you need one-on-one training, be sure to call 966-8934 and make an appointment with one of our digital media specialists.

• Scanners

  Including flatbed scanners, a slide scanner and an x-ray scanner.

• LCD Projector Loans

  Check out projectors for a School of Medicine presentation. Please view the projector loan policy.

• Multimedia Classes

  Every month the Lab sponsors one hour classes on Photoshop, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint, and other multimedia software/tools.  Click here for a list of upcoming classes.
