The Office of Student Affairs supports the members of the student body throughout their medical careers. All student-related issues funnel through this office, and most activities that involve students, including Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Match Day, and Graduation, are organized here. Student Affairs provides academic, career, and personal counseling. Special tutorial assistance, test taking assessments, and learning disability evaluations may be arranged through the Office of Student Affairs.
Other responsibilities of the office of student affairs include:
- The Registrar function, responsible for all past graduate certification, and repository for the official student record
- Oversight of student health & safety
- Residency and the match facilitator
- Facilitation of extramural and visiting student rotations
- Providing administrative support to the student government
- Serving as administrative arm of the Honor Council, the Promotions Committee, and AOA and the Gold Humanism Honor Society
- Scheduling and registration for years 1, 2, 3, and 4
- Academic and Career Advising
