Terry Magnuson, PhD; Vice Dean for Research
Terry is the Chair and Sarah Graham Kenan Professor of Genetics. His research interests are mammalian genetics, genomics, development and mouse models of human disease.
Kathleen Caron, PhD; Assistant Dean for Research
Kathleen is an Associate Professor of Cell and Molecular Physiology. Her reserach interests are genetically engineered animal models in the study of human disease.
Robert Duronio, PhD; Assistant Dean for Research
Bob is a Professor of Biology and Director of the Curriculum in Genetics and Molecular Biology. His research interests are genetics of cell cycle control and drosophila development.
Michael Topal, PhD; Assistant Dean for Core Facilities
Mike is a Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Faculty Director of the Genomics and Bioinformatics Core Facility. His research interests are genomic instability in Cancer and molecular mechanisms of ataxia.
Dede Corvinus, PhD; Director of the Office of Research
Dede has been with the Office of Research since 1997. Her PhD was in Geology, specifically peat petrology as it relates to coal seam formation. She worked in the Okefenokee Swamp in George and the Albemarle Peninsula in NC. She also has an MFA in acting.
Carol Herion; Business Services Coordinator for the Office of Research
Carol has been with the Office of Research since 2008. She is a native Tar Heel who received her BA from UNC in 1976.
