Lipiflow Treatment

Lipiflow is the only electronic device cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration for treatment of the leading cause of dry eye, Meibomian Gland Disease. At Kittner Eye Center we use the LipiFlow treatment by precisely applying heat to the inner eyelids and targeting gentle pulsations to remove blockages from the affected glands. The goal is to restore natural oil flow to the tear film that covers the eye's surface.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

IPL is one of the latest treatment options for dry eyes caused by meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). This procedure has been shown to reduce inflammation in the eyelid's oil glands that cause a common type of dry eye – evaporative dry eye.
