Grand Rounds

The UNC Department of Ophthalmology holds its Grand Rounds from 8:30am until 10:30am at the Kittner Eye Center.

Funded by the A.E. Finley Foundation, UNC Eye hosts a series of Visiting Professorships throughout the academic year to enhance residency education and offer members of the local ophthalmology and health care community opportunities for continuing education. Kittner Ophthalmologists invite nationally recognized physicians to spend a Friday afternoon lecturing and leading discussions on unusual cases presented by Kittner Eye residents.

On Saturday morning we host a Grand Rounds style forum featuring a lecture, presentation and discussion led by our Visiting Professor. We welcome all regional health care providers and scientists.

The program is free and open to the public. The School of Medicine of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill designates this live activity for a maximum of two (2) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Kittner Eye Center is located at 2226 Nelson Hwy. Ste. 200 in Chapel Hill, NC. Free parking is available at the clinic.
