Karen Meredith began taking her art seriously after moving to North Carolina in 2000 and retiring from a career in public health.  She spent the first years working in watercolor and since October 2005 has focuses more on oils, especially doing plein air painting in the "open air."  She loves the full experience (sounds, scents, feelings, lights, colors) of creating outdoors and aims to captures those moments on canvas.  She has taken workshops from nationally-known artists and has exhibited in several local shows, including the juried Women's Center Art Show in 2005.  For further information and works, please contact the artist directly:  kmeredithnc@aol.com
