Professional Background:

Sandy Scarlett comes to UNC Eye after having worked as Development Director at Duke University Eye Center for over 18 years and over 7 years in other departments including Duke Human Resources. Additionally she served as Vice President of Peace College providing two years of leadership in preparation for their upcoming campaign and as Director of Development at a national nonprofit Character Education Partnership based in Washington, DC. Sandy has degrees from the University of South Carolina, University of West Florida and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. She has served on North Carolina state committees of the Lions Foundation and is an active member of the Durham Lions Club and a member of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Center for Character Education.
