UNC Eye MD Jonathan Dutton recently authored his 8th textbook, "Atlas of Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery," available for purchase at UNC Student Stores and via online booksellers.
A new surgical clinic recently opened in the Medical Office Building at Chatham Hospital. UNC Health Care surgeons will operate in the year-old, nearly 4,000 square foot space. Surgeries will take place once or twice a week for the following specialty areas – ophthalmology; general surgery; ear, nose and throat; and gynecology.
The UNC School of Medicine's Dr. Jonathan Dutton has been appointed to the prestigious Spinoza Chair Visiting Professorship at the University of Amsterdam for 2013.
Dr. Cabrera is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She completed her undergraduate degree at Stanford University, majoring in Biology, graduating with honors and joining Phi Beta Kappa. She then completed both medical school and residency at the University of California, San Francisco. She specialized in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Duke Eye Center, completing a two year fellowship. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (AAO).
Cathy DiBernardo, CDOS, ROUB has joined the UNC Department of Ophthalmology as a Clinical Associate Professor from Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. While there she established the Ophthalmic Echography / Ultrasound Department that is now the second largest in the nation.
