The Ophthalmology Residency Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a fully accredited, three-year residency with three applicants accepted into the program each year. Our mission is to provide residents with an outstanding experience in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide variety of ophthalmic diseases, allowing them upon completion of the program to practice comprehensive ophthalmology or pursue subspecialty fellowship training in preparation for a career in the community or academic setting.
