Welcome

Our mission is to facilitate the research enterprise at the School and Institutional level, to work with faculty on their career development goals, to assist the Dean’s Office in the recruitment, retention and formal reviews of faculty, and to enhance the training opportunities for students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty.

The Office facilitates the work of the Executive Associate Deans for Research (William Marzluff, PhD) and for Faculty Affairs (Eugene Orringer, MD).  We can help coordinate the submission of research grant applications including, proposals that are multidisciplinary, multi-school, and/or multi-institutional and Junior faculty grant proposals.  We provide boiler plate information on resources for grant proposals and much of the departmental information for training grants.  Additionally the Office administers a number of standing committees including the Simmons Scholars Recruitment, Post-Tenure Reviews for full Professors, the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) and the SOM Conflict of Interest Committee (COIC).  Please see the Contact/Org Chart page for more specific information on whom to contact regarding specific questions.
