The pediatric department at UNC Orthopaedics is one of the strongest in the state with dedicated and experienced providers. Both Drs. Edmund Campion and Richard Henderson have been practicing in this field for more than 15 years. Dr. Narotam manages a wide variety of nonoperative conditions and works closely with our surgeons.  Continuity of care is point of emphasis. Our pediatric team treats a plethora of congenital and developmental disorders as well as sports and trauma injuries.

Congenital Disorders:

  • Clubfoot

  • Arthrogryposis (a severe form of clubfoot)

  • Spinal Deformities, such as Scoliosis
  • Tibia Vara (Blout’s Disease or Extreme Bow Legs)
  • Slipped Epiphysis
  • Perthes (Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head)
  • Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH)
  • Leg Length Discrepancy Problems (Growth Problems)
