Pathobiology and Translational Science Graduate Program Admissions Process:

Thank you for your interest in the Pathobiology and Translational Science graduate program. Admission to the program is through the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP), see below:

Biological & Biomedical Sciences Program at the University of North Carolina

The Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP) is a common portal through which prospective students apply for graduate study in any of the 14 participating biological or biomedical sciences graduate programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Students who are interested in any of the biological and biomedical sciences research areas (including pathobiology, mechansims of disease, and pathology) apply to the BBSP and are admitted to UNC with no formal commitment to any specific Ph.D. program. After completing the first year of study in the BBSP, students matriculate into their chosen Ph.D. program (e.g. Pathobiology and Translational Science graduate program), after selecting a dissertation research laboratory and faculty preceptor.

For more information on the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program, please navigate to the BBSP website.

If you have a specific interest in the Pathobiology and Translational Science Ph.D. Program or questions about application to the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program, please contact the program Director, whose contact information is at the left.
