Medical Examiner

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the State of North Carolina is a division of the NC Department of Health and Human Services. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is located in the Brinkhous-Bullitt Building, which also houses the UNC Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner also serves as the Divison of Forensic Pathology within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
