Hardware

Minimum recommended specs:

  • Palm OS version 5.0 or Pocket PC
  • If you have any patient information on your PDA, it must follow HIPAA guidelines. (HIPAA Guidelines)
  • FAQ how to password protect your PDA (coming soon)

Due to the rapid development of new PDA models and unexpected changes in price, we suggest you visit the manufacturer's web site for the most up-to-date model and pricing information.

Many manufacturers also sell Palm-powered cell phones (Kyocera, Samsung, Handspring Treo, Palm Tungsten W, etc.). However, bear in mind that many areas in the hospital do not allow the use of cell phones as they interfere with electronic equipment.

Don't forget to check out the links section of this site for third-party reviews of currently available PDA's.
