At the midpoint of the 6-week clerkship block, each student will meet with the site director for a mid-clerkship review. Students will be asked to complete a clinical self-assessment exercise prior to meeting the site director. During this meeting, students will have an opportunity to review any preceptor evaluations received, assess their clinical skills and medical knowledge, and develop a personalized plan for continued growth and improvement. In addition, during the midpoint feedback session students will review their Patient Log with the Site Director. This will allow students to focus subsequent clinical encounters to maximize the chance of a direct clinical experience with patients with the conditions listed. If needed, a student’s subsequent clinical rotation will be modified to the extent possible to maximize the chance of direct clinical experiences with patients with the conditions listed.
