Mission Statement

The goal of the UNC Department of Pediatrics Faculty Development Program is to support our faculty as they acquire the knowledge and skills essential for becoming successful researchers, effective educators, productive clinicians and institutional leaders. The Program seeks to support our faculty in all ranks and tracks as they pursue their professional goals.

Faculty Development Advisory Committee

The Faculty Development Advisory Committee (FDAC) meets twice a year to plan or provide input on projects related to faculty development. Committee members oversee many of the specific activities and projects described in this site, including:

  • Review of applications for leadership training;
  • Review of nominations for departmental Mentoring Award;
  • Organization of Faculty Development Curriculum Series lectures; and
  • Mentoring resources.
