I am studying the role of the Cdc42 GAPs in chemotropic growth in yeast. More generally I'm interested in how the extracellular gradient of pheromone is translated into an intracellular gradient of Cdc42-GTP.

My current research interests involve the application of mathematical and physical approaches to address problems in cell and molecular biology. In particular, my work focuses on using stochastic modeling and computer simulations to understand energy transduction in individual motor proteins, such as kinesin, myosin and dynein, the role of these proteins in intracellular trafficking, and their collective behavior in cilia and flagella.
