New Genetic Medicine Building
The new Genetic Medicine Building, slated to be completed in 2007, will be the new home of the Department of Pharmacology once finished. It will be a state of the art research facility designed to promote interdisciplinary research.
The building will house
medical research space for genetics, pharmacology, pharmacy and biochemistry /biophysics, including lab suport, offices and office support.
The facility will also house animal husbandry and research facililties specifically designed for small rodents to be used by the entire UNC School of Medicine.
Below are architect's drawings and a photo of the beginnings of the foundation.
