Before joining the Hahn lab, he received his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Baylor College of Medicine in 2010, where he studied the role of Aurora C. Kinase in mitosis under Drs. Bill Brinkley and Mike Mancini.

She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Ohio State University in 2008, and joined the Hahn lab in 2010.

Update: Janet has received both her Ph.D. and a second fellowship award, this one a postdoctoral fellowship from the NextGen Oral Health program at UNC. Since she has graduated, Janet will accept the postdoctoral fellowship award instead of the American Heart Assn. predoctoral award. She will be studying viral pathogenesis as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Webster-Cyriaque.
