PHR’s Institute will bring together attendees students interested in health and human rights to learn about pressing health and human rights issues, build new skills & connections to develop your power as an advocate, and network with presenters and other students throughout the region. Experienced speakers will present on topics such as the Right to Health framework, health and human rights formal education, and harm reduction. Interactive workshop sessions will also be held on skills in organizing effective advocacy and influencing policy makers. Register and learn more at http://www.phrinstitutes.org.

  • "PHR: Our Role & Our Impact" - Sarah Kalloch, Outreach and Constituency Organizing Director, PHR
  • “Clean Needles Save Lives: Why and What We Can Do”: Paola Barahona, Senior Global Health Advocate, PHR
  • “Health and Human Rights Education” Panel & Breakout
  • Leading student activists presenting on sessions such as “Organizing Effective Events” and “Building Relationships with your Member of Congress”
