Inpatient Programs Renew CARF Accreditation

CARF sealUNC Health Care's Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs once again have received full accreditation from the International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), an independent, international nonprofit organization focused on advancing the quality of services for best possible outcomes.

The accreditation will extend through August 2013, and represents our organization's dedication and commitment to improving our patients' quality of life.

Per the official letter from CARF, we received accreditation without any other recommendations: "an extraordinary accomplishment, as only 3 percent of CARF surveys result in no recommendations."

The letter continues: "Everyone involved in your organization should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation."

In addition to our inpatient rehabilitation programs, our sub-acute services at UNC Health Care/Rex Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center of Raleigh also recently received CARF accreditation.
