Do you want to learn to slow down and enjoy your life? Are you looking for a new way to deal with stress, anxiety, pain, difficult interactions with others? Mindfulness can make a difference.
The UNC Mindfulness-based Program for Stress and Pain Management offers training in meditation and mind-body awareness that will teach you how to slow down and set priorities; you'll learn how to stay calm, focused and relaxed in the midst of a busy life. These practices will enhance your body's natural adaptive healing ability and will cultivate the mind's clarity and insight.
The program follows Jon Kabat-Zinn's model and is offered by the Program on Integrative Medicine in the UNC Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
