Patient Services
The UNC Rehabilitation Team
Our physiatrists develop and oversee an individualized rehabilitation plan for each patient, which is implemented by a team of interdisciplinary rehabilitation professionals and monitored over time to improve quality of life. Team members also work with the family, helping them adapt to changes and linking them to important resources in the community. Using a wide range of perspectives, resources and evaluation tools depending on the patient's needs, physiatrists recommend health care for the whole patient along the physical, mental, social and spiritual journey to recovery.

Our Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Services
We provide an interdisciplinary continuum of care, beginning from the consult during acute hospitalization to acute and subacute rehabilitation to ongoing outpatient and community services. For outpatient appointments, call 919.966.8812.
