The Arendshorst Lab Current projects investigate the dynamics of blood flow autoregulation in the rat kidney in response to step changes in perfusion pressure, the contribution of underlying regulating mechanisms and their modulation by humorohormonal and physical factors. Another project investigates the time courses of contraction and calcium signaling in isolated blood vessels from the vascular trees of the kidney and skeletal muscle in comparison between the two vascular beds. |
