Thomas H. Maren Foundation Distinguished Professorship
Cell and Molecular Physiology and UNC Kidney Center
The Department of Cell and Molecular Physiology and the UNC Kidney Center in the School of Medicine invite applications for the Thomas H. Maren Foundation Distinguished Professorship, a new tenured position at the level of Full Professor. We seek candidates who are advancing the field of renal physiology/pathophysiology with a focus on translational medicine and have an internationally recognized research program and strong external funding. There is an attractive startup package and laboratory space. A role in teaching of graduate and medical students and postdoctoral trainees is expected. Applicants must hold an MD and/or PhD degree.

Research Staff Positions
Seeking a temporary, full-time Research Technician to work in a medical research lab in the Department of Cell & Molecular Physiology at the Univ. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The laboratory studies the genetic role of the adrenomedullin system in cardiovascular physiology. A Master's of Science degree is preferred. Significant experience with small animal colonies, including breeding, genotyping and cardiovascular phenotyping are required. Previous experience with molecular biology, tissue culture and general lab management are desirable. The position is for a minimum of one year.
